BOARD APPROVES 2008 DISTRIBUTIONS FROM THE CATHOLIC LEGACY FUND
The Foundation Board of Directors has approved more than $50,000 in distributions from the Catholic Legacy Fund in 2008. The Catholic Legacy Fund serves the annual and long-term needs of diocesan ministries, parishes and schools. Gifts of endowment are made to the Catholic Legacy Fund, whose principal is protected, and a portion whose earnings are distributed on an annual basis per board policy.
The Foundation launched the Catholic Legacy Fund in 2007 with a goal of raising $20 million by 2020. With a corpus of $20 million, the Foundation will be able to give away more than $800,000 annually, as the fund continues to grow. The Foundation welcomes gifts to the Catholic Legacy Fund to benefit ministries, parishes and schools, and to honor or memorialize family or loved ones.
To make a gift to any one of these designated funds or to the ministry, parish or school of your choice, contact the Foundation at (915) 872-8412.
