January 12, 2021
This year, the Foundation for the Diocese of El Paso invites you to stay in love with God and to reflect on the ways you feel closer to Him. What brings you joy, what gives you excitement, what makes you feel alive during the pandemic, what is God is calling you to do this year, and what are your resolutions? We encourage you to develop holy habits and stay in love with God.
Here's what Pedro Arrupe, SJ, a Spanish priest born in 1907 who dedicated his life to helping others, has to say about staying in love with God. “Nothing is more practical than finding God than falling in Love in a quite absolute, final way, what you are in love with, what seizes your imagination, will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning, what you do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, whom you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything.” As Father Arrupe tells you, let yourself be amazed by the practice of joy and gratitude in your life.
