San Judas Catholic Boy Scouts On A Mission

August 10, 2018

Boy Scout Troop 429, based out of San Judas Parish, was dealt a blow when their trailer and all of its contents was stolen from the church as they were preparing to journey out on a summer campout. Troop leader Luis Sanchez said, "We need our trailer and camping gear to continue with the scouting lifestyle to be better citizens for tomorrow."

The Boy Scouts lost a 6x12 Pace American Trailer, Dewalt Tough Chest, camp kitchen, Dutch oven, camp stove, portable canopy, folding tables, chuck box, Igloo 70 quart cooler, camp lanterns, and amsteel blue rope. Their trailer and equipment is a vital component of their troop's efforts and used for fundraising and outings.

Boy Scouts of America as a viable form of youth ministry with the Catholic youth of our nation. Troop 429 can be found in El Paso, Texas in the Yucca Council Polaris District.
