The Diocese of El Paso Mass Attendance Count Results
Every year in October, the Diocese of El Paso and the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of El Paso conducts the Mass Attendance Count at all Catholic parishes, missions, seminaries, monasteries, and at UTEP’s Campus Ministry that celebrate the Eucharist on the weekends. The Mass Attendance Count helps diocesan leaders use these results as a tool to effectively plan evangelization efforts for the Catholic community throughout the Diocese of El Paso.
This year the Mass Attendance Count was conducted on the weekends of October 14-15 and October 21-22. Please note this year’s results are higher than 2022!
2023 Mass Attendance Count report for the Catholic community
Overall, 51,581 individuals attended Mass on the weekend of October 14-15, 2023
- 20,931 individuals attended English Mass
- 28,722 individuals attended Spanish Mass
- 1,316 individuals attended Bilingual Mass
- 592 individuals attended Mass in Other Languages
Overall, 51,826 individuals attended Mass on the weekend of October 21-22, 2023
- 20,801 individuals attended English Mass
- 28,832 individuals attended Spanish Mass
- 1,546 individuals attended Bilingual Mass
- 622 individuals attended Mass in Other Languages
On average, 51,704 individuals attended Mass over these two weeks in the month of October 2023 in the Diocese of El Paso.
Online Mass Attendance Count
Overall, 2,059 individuals viewed online Mass the weekend of October 14-15, 2023
- 1,346 individuals viewed Mass in English
- 716 individuals viewed Mass in Spanish
Overall, 2,415 individuals viewed online Mass the weekend of October 21-22, 2023
- 1,610 individuals viewed Mass in English
- 805 individuals viewed Mass in Spanish
